SERVPRO of Howard County thinks it's important to use the safest chemicals.

You care about the safety of your pets and people in your home. SERVPRO does as well. We use chemicals that are safe for the environment.

We are willing and able to give you a breakdown of all chemicals we use on site . We want you to feel safe after the cleaning is done.

SERVPRO of Howard County is there to make your business prepared for an emergency.

Did you know that half of businesses don't recover from a disaster?

SERVPRO of Howard County wants to help our clients be ready for a disaster with an Emergency Ready Profile.

We do this at no cost and enjoy working with businesses to make them more aware of what to do when an emergency strikes.

SERVPRO uses all the latest equipment in mitigation.

SERVPRO of Howard County has the latest water detection equipment. We can find the moisture before the demo.

This homeowner had a roof repair 3 weeks prior and saw a spot. SERVPRO came out, did some readings, and found moisture and mold. We knew exactly where to demo and make things right.

What's in the truck ?

SERVPRO of Howard County knows it's important to get to your emergency fast and ready to go. There is nothing worse than having to go back for equipment before mitigation can start.

SERVPRO stocks all of our trucks and van with the best equipment and plenty of it.

When we arrive we are ready to roll.

Knowledge is Power.

SERVPRO wants to help people in the community know the correct way to handle mitigation on their property as well as knowing when an expert is needed.

SERVPRO of Howard County is always giving free classes to local businesses to let their staff know the right way to handle clean ups. This could be anything from water to biohazard clean up.

We want them to have the power to make the right decisions and to be above all be safe.

So many of our employees live in Howard County and know the affect that floods can have on the residents.

We are proud of our efforts to help those in need and will continue to do all we can.

SERVPRO of Howard County cares.

Our SERVPRO Fam Supports The Ravens Flock

By now, it shouldn't come as a surprise that we love being out and about in our local community. Whether it be supporting the people of Ellicott City or taking in a game at M&T, you can likely spot a member of the SERVPRO fam! We're proud members of the HoCo/greater Maryland community, which is why we care so much about helping when it counts most: during a disaster.

We Had A Blast at MACoCon in Ocean City!

This past week/weekend we attended Maryland Association of Counties' summer conference in Ocean City. We had such a great time chatting and learning along with our fellow Maryland community members. Our rep Bethaney (2nd from right) is pictured here with Governor Hogan.

Safe to say it was an exciting and productive few days!

Celebrate Good Times (Safely!)

We don't mean to be a wet blanket when it comes to celebrating awesome holidays such as the Fourthy of July, but we care about your safety! We, along with the NFPA, encourage safe celebrations like professional fireworks displays. That said, if you and your family decide to celebrate with sparklers (they are largely legal, but check your local laws before you partake), you still need to be aware of safety precautions.

Your Sink Shouldn't Run Over with Mold

As we always say, mold can find a way to grow pretty much everywhere. Your sink is supposed to be clean so you can clean things in it; however, in cases of hoarding, mold in the least likely places becomes far more possible. Other mold remediation companies might not be as sensitive with such delicate issues like hoarding or mold. That's why our SERVPRO professionals are specifically trained to address such situations with care and efficiency.

Water Feeds The Mold

SERVPRO of HoCo responded to a water damage incident in a Howard County home whose hot water heater had leaked. The water damage caused some issues, but nothing our professionals couldn't handle once we arrived on scene! As you know by now, if you follow our content, water damage can lead to secondary mold damage if it isn't handled properly. This picture shows what can happen if you don't call SERVPRO as soon as you suspect water damage in your home.

Fire Damage Overwhelms Living Space

Fire damage can be absolutely devastating to your home. Such a loss is no match for our mitigators and our rebuild devision. We work quickly to get your home back to normal, so it can be, "Like it never even happened."

Inspect and Assessing Damages

Part of SERVPRO of Howard County's expert restoration and cleanup services include working with your insurance when we make an estimate for the cost of our services. We are sure to carefully inspect the damage to your home or business. This is especially important in cases of fire damage, as the loss is often more extensive.

SERVPRO HoCo at HoCo Chamber of Commerce

Check out our setup at the Howard County Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting! We got a chance to mingle and network with other local businesses in the county. This year the meeting was held at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City.

As Soon As Flames Go Down, Boards Go Up

As we discussed in this blog post last month, boarding up after major damage or losses is crucial during the mitigation process. This keeps the damage from spreading, damaging anything else, especially in cases where cross-contamination is a risk factor. You can see here that the boarding up process has begun after major fire damage.

The Temperature Isn't The Only Thing Burning Up This Season!

Fire damage really does tend to heat up in the summer. We know that when it comes to a fire, it doesn't matter if it's your home or you business...it's a painful situation.

Be sure to keep your eyes on our blog, because we tend to share some pretty important damage and loss prevention tips for your home and business.

Fire Doesn't Need Stairs

A fire really doesn't need stairs to get from one floor to another once it ignites in your home or business. This can make restoration seem impossible, but when our professionally trained crews are on scene after your fire...it'll be "like it never even happened"

Spotted: Mold Spottings Hiding in Your Ceiling

Even the smallest drip drop of water in your attic or ceiling can feed enough mold to cause some serious issues for you and your home...but have no fear, SERVPRO is here!

Board Up to Keep Further Damage Risk Down

There are a lot of instances where boarding up your home or business is necessary. Not only is important to board up before damage, but after damage or a loss occurs, boarding up can be a great preventative measure. Check out our blog for more!

We Aren't Afraid To Stand In Standing Water

Summer time...the warm weather...the fun activities...and oh, yeah, flooded basements.

Summer storms can cause your power to go out, which can cause your sub pump to fail...which brings you the joy of having to deal with a flooded basement. We aren't afraid to do the dirty work and make sure the damage doesn't hurt any other systems in your home (much like this risk pictured here).

Let Customers Flood Your Halls, Not Water!

A bathroom water leak and flood at a local clubhouse left seemingly everywhere wet! We arrived on scene with our special drying equipment to dry out any damage and prevent any mold from growing in place of the water.

Rub-A-Dub-Dub...Mold In Your Tub?!

Your shower can often times be a common breeding ground for all kinds of mold and bacteria. The best place to get clean can harbor the worst kinds of germs. Eek!

Storm Damage Created An Unwelcome Skylight

Storm damage seems to have a way of making some unwanted additions to your home. For instance, a storm punctured a hole in a bathroom ceiling. This sizable crater looks like a makeshift skylight, if you ask us. These inconvenient losses to your home can cause a lot of frustration, which is why we make the restoration process so simple!

Specifically Trained for Specific Jobs

These procedures are part of special mold remediation training.

We aren't ~fans~ of mold!

Thorough drying is important to us so mold doesn't grow in your home or business after water damage.

Awesome words from a storm damage client

SERVPRO responded to Sally T.'s call to restore her business after a major storm that caused flooding. We know how traumatic a loss can be, especially when it causes your business to lose money.

On the scene at a dance studio window mishap!

The SERVPRO team was called out to tend to a broken window and some additional exterior damage at a local dance studio. We were sure to stabilize the frame of the window to prevent further damage.

Storm Spotlight SERVPRO of Howard County (MD)

As written in SERVPRO Corporate Magazine by Brian Petraitis:

Jeff Holland and Brian Kemp took ownership of SERVPRO of Howard County in March of 2015.  This past August, the historic town of Ellicott City, Maryland, was impacted by severe flash flooding, causing a large increase of calls to their office.  Having attended this year's Storm University at convention in June and knowing they needed help, Jeff Holland and his team quickly requested the assistance of a SERVPRO Storm Site.  Because of the quick action taken by Howard County and the timeliness of submitting leads to the Storm Site, they contributed to achieving a 47 percent hit ratio in a non-covered event.  This is the highest non-covered event hit ration in the history of our Storm records.  They were able to maintain their market share and were able to keep all local jobs green.  Let's congratulate Jeff, Brian, and their crew for being recognized as the October Storm Spotlight!

SERVPRO of Howard County continuing to help Ellicott City Flood Victims

On July 30, 2016, Historic Ellicott City MD was devastated by a flash flood that claimed the lives of two people, caused millions of dollars in property damage, and displaced hundreds of citizens and businesses.  SERVPRO of Howard county was able to assist homeowners and businesses safely in making it "Like it never even happened."  We were a proud sponsor at the Party in the Pit at Merriweather Post Pavillion where 100% of the proceeds benefit Historic Ellicott City and the Ellicott City Partnership.  Lots of fun was had by all. Howard County Executive Allan Kittleman took the stage with some encouraging words and the SERVPRO of Howard County Logo was on proud display. Remember to call us at 410-465-7333 should you ever need assistance with Water, Fire, or Mold Remediation.  Were always here to help!

Service with a Smile!

Our crew chief, Dan, working with a smile to make it "Like it never even happened."
